MWC2017 the next element & netflix

The theme of MWC 2017 is the next element.

Mat granryd, director general  of GSMA, talked about the fourth revolution based on increased intelligence and ubiquitous networks.

he uses self driving cars as example,  they can sense the surroundings and other vehicles, react in milliseconds, reduce congestion and eliminate accidents.

Chang Gyu Huang, CED of KT highlights the 5G would play an important role in the transformation from now to fourth revolution. 5G includes capacity, speed, connectivity and intelligence.

Intelligence is the most important part!

Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix, gave a speech in MWC.

He said all video in the next 10~20 years will be on internet. Internet TV will have competition in all sides. But who can connecting people who can have the market.

Netflix covers 130 countries and 100 million subscribers.

Netflix will serve people on PC, TV and  mobile. He support zero rating video on mobile network that is like earlier internet video services. It may be unlimited video traffic with limited quality (like SD not HD) to make the network efficient.
